Just a font update! I found that although Consolas was quite good in 8x8, it wasn't especially great for ASCII art. I found a good font called Amstrad CPC Extended by Ruboku on fontstruct, and with a tiny bit of modification it was perfect! It's under the Creative Commons Attribution liscence, so I just have to give a bit of credit. In my opinion it looks very similar to the Windows command line font, which is great for ASCII art! Please tell me what you think!
Wait, it HAS to be 8x8? Can't it be more vertical, like 8x16? I don't like it like this...

The other font looked nicer, but it just wasn't well suited for ASCII art. The / and \ for example, made stick men look like they had bloated, dislocated limbs! As far as I know, the only way to make fonts that are not 8x8 is to use a special complicated font mode that means you have to delete each individual pixel to overwrite text! Not good for ASCII art... If you find a better 8x8 font, please let me know because it's not at all hard to replace it. Thanks!
